Tunnel Vision
12/04/2007
Petersfield First Friday is the monthly lunch and networking meeting for business-people in the area. The April get-together proved a roaring success on the 5th of the month, and Navigate MD Gareth Gammon, who founded First Friday, was delighted to welcome Paul Hoyland, who is the Hindhead Tunnel Project Director, as speaker for the afternoon.
This project will finally link London and the South Coast with a three-mile tunnel along the A3. It was a great opportunity to find out the key statistics involved and see detailed plans of each of the stages of development accompanied by relative explanations and answers to questions. The tunnel is due for completion in 2012 and aims to ease congestion along the busy and infamous Hindhead bottle-neck, costing approximately £33 million.
The event attracted more than 50 people who all enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about this exciting project and lunch with other members of the Petersfield business community.
