A seven-strong team of Navigators cruised up to the World Travel Market on Wednesday this week. During the day the team covered the world – and some – talking to exhibitors and getting a feel for business at this current time in the travel industry.
They teamed up into pairs covering all the continents at the show. Great feedback was received from tourist bodies who appreciated our achievements and proposals. Now comes the conversion period and follow up.
The team – Gareth Gammon, Nick Keith, Treina Smyth, Emma Gaisford, Julie Blackwell, Jo Barlow and Lesley Hussell - took in the sights of many country stands, some inspiring and innovative, others not so. They enjoyed a full day of worldwide sightseeing and making good contacts.
Smaller independent companies also benefit from this, given that reaching new markets is costly. Using remote or digital media, such as an updated website or better SEO management, can be a cost effective way of increasing visitor hits.
Navigate has the experience to represent many elements of the communication process for overseas Tourist Boards and Convention Bureaux, giving them access to the UK market through PR/digital marketing, copywriting and event management.
Navigate also delivers attractive visual exhibition stands, and visiting WTM gave us the opportunity to offer our skills and discuss the way forward with many potential clients. Having designed the Indonesia stand a year ago, we were disappointed with their offering this year. Apparently budgets are biting, but given the opportunity Navigate can deliver on all levels of budget.
