Navigate helps Rowans to realize a dream
26/11/2010

"There’s no place like home,” according to Dorothy in
The Wizard of Oz. And the new Rowan’s Hospice at Home Appeal, called Dorothy’s Dream, has set off on its own Yellow Brick road to raise £1 million, with the help of Navigate.
Rowans plans to establish a new Hospice At Home service. Dorothy’s Dream is all about CHOICE, allowing people to choose where they prefer to end their life – at home or in hospital.
And the designers at Navigate have been helping the hospice and its patients to make this dream come true. The Navigate design team created the logo, the brand and a poster campaign for Dorothy’s Dream.
By April 2011 Rowans plans to launch this specialized adult nursing service to complement the care offered by its local NHS community staff across the whole area of care.
This new service will bring the ethos of Hospice Care to patients, family members and carers at home. It will be available 365 days and nights each year, "ensuring that the right care is available, at the right time and in the right place”.
Three teams of nurses across our area of care will be able to care for as many as 365 new patients each year with the objective of supporting those who are dying at home, and helping them to remain there.
This service will be inclusive and available to everyone, regardless of age or disease. It will ensure continuing support for family and friends into bereavement.
