Navigate Fit For The Kings

The Kings Theatre in Southsea has teamed up with local design and marketing agency Navigate Design to produce marketing material to promote their brand new Stage 2 Studio Theatre season.
Stage 2 is an innovative studio theatre concept which coincides with the vigorous restoration and refurbishment work being carried out at Kings throughout the summer. The specially adapted stage seats 120 audience members and provides them with a rare and intimate theatre experience that is not usually seen by the public.
Navigate design, based in Petersfield, was delighted to create work for such a prestigious and popular local organisation. "The Kings Theatre is a superb theatre which has seen many class acts over the years,” said Navigate Director Gareth Gammon, "and we are very happy to see our work promoting such a well known and popular brand.” Navigate was approached by the King’s Theatre Marketing Manager, Alan Jenkins to design and produce marketing material that stood out. The end product was a classy and stylish 8-page leaflet accompanied by promotional posters. Alan was delighted with the end result, and said: "Navigate has come up with the goods and produced exactly what we wanted.
The posters and leaflet show a different side to Kings – one which we are very proud to be presenting over the next few months.” "This is a very important time for the theatre as it is seeing a lot of changes and it is important to market our Stage 2 season effectively,” he added. Work is scheduled to begin on the Kings in the middle of June and will continue right through the summer months.
A new ceiling, plaster work and complete re-wiring of the sound and lighting systems are among but a few of the developments taking place. The estimated overall cost of the renovation programme is £3million, which has been partly funded by both Hampshire and Portsmouth Councils, plus many local people who have given generous amounts of money for the cause.
