'Hear all about it' at First Friday
10/10/2011
The October First Friday, jointly organized by Navigate, was joined by the Editor of
The Petersfield Post Greame Moir. He shared with Petersfield businesses some of the challenges of running a local newspaper and his plans for the coming months. Graeme also spoke about some of the interesting stories he has covered this year, including the mission him and his team underwent to get the Hindhead Tunnel opening to print on time.

There was also a question and answer session where businesses had the opportunity to ask about the best ways to submit stories about their operation and gain more exposure in the media. Here Greame explained the importance of including all the details when submitting a story and how incorporating video and audio content is a great way to get noticed.
Navigate’s Gareth Gammon then commented on the importance of local media today and its particular prominence with developing social media technologies.
First Friday is organized jointly by Navigate, Antrobus House, and the Folly Upstairs, Petersfield, where the £18 lunches are held. The next meeting is on Friday 4 November, where the speaker will be Margerat Paren, Chair of the new South Downs National Park Authority.
