A day in the life of Navigate
13/04/2011
April was famously described by T S Eliot as "the cruellest month", but for Navigate it began in completely celebratory fashion.
There was absolutely no fooling the Navigate team on 1 April, although some of them may have wondered about that as they arrived at Portsmouth International Port at 5.30am. The Navigate team were there to manage the opening of the Port's new multi-million pound passenger terminal.
Account Manager Sarah Simmons takes up the story: "Everyone was in good spirits, and the opening of the new terminal ran smoothly. We got great press coverage for the Port – from BBC South, Meridian, The News, and BBC Radio Solent."
By mid-morning, the team was in The Square, Petersfield, for another major event – the official launch celebrations for the new South Downs National Park. This was another national event which Gareth Gammon and the Navigate team had organised. Navigate was extremely pleased with the level of local interest and media coverage in The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and the BBC TV (Breakfast and South Today), plus plenty of other local, specialist and trade press.
In the evening, the whole team gathered at Petersfield’s Festival Hall for the fourth popular and prestigious Life in Petersfield Business and Community Awards. The awards were hosted by Gareth Gammon and Nick Keith, and were attended by local MP Damian Hinds, Margaret Paren (Chair of the South Downs National Park Authority), and Dudley Mills, from main sponsors Kebbell Homes, among others.
The Life in Petersfield Awards proved to be another event where Navigate's organizational expertise brought glitz and glamour to the occasion.
